South Baldwin Community Theatre Unveils Lineup

Gulf Shores, Ala. — (GSN) — Founded in 1972, the South Baldwin Community Theatre has been a cornerstone of the Gulf Shores cultural scene for over five decades. The theatre is currently unveiling its full Season 55 lineup, featuring 12 diverse productions at the George C. Meyer Performing Arts Center in Gulf Shores. With the theatre’s intimate setting seating only 130 guests, audiences can expect a close-up experience with every performance. Please note that all ticket sales are non-refundable.
The upcoming season, running from September 2026 through August 2027, spans a wide range of genres, including comedy, mystery, musicals, and holiday-themed shows. The season opens with "The Play That Goes Wrong," running September 18–27, 2026. This will be followed by a special benefit event supporting The Parrot Head Emergency Foundation, "An Afternoon with Peter, Jim and Brendan Mayer," scheduled for October 22, 2026. “The Wind in the Willows” continues the season, running November 6–15, 2026.
The holiday season will feature two productions: Four A Change’s presentation of "Our Favorite Things" on December 3–4, 2026, and "Christmas Radio Theatre," running December 11–13, 2026. Moving into the new year, "I Hate Hamlet" is scheduled for January 7–17, 2027. February will be packed with entertainment, offering "The Murder Room," running February 10–21, 2027, and the 24-Hour Play Festival Winter Edition on February 26–27, 2027.
Spring brings "Disney's Descendants: The Musical" from April 16–25, 2027. The summer schedule begins with "Tornados Touching Down," running June 4–13, 2027, followed by the 24-Hour Play Festival Summer Edition on June 18–19, 2027. The season concludes with the production of "9 to 5 The Musical," which runs from July 23 through August 1, 2027.
