Boat accident at Perdido Pass in Orange Beac

Gulf Shores boating news

The gulf side entrance at Perdido Pass Bridge is the scene of yet another boating accident. Yesterday morning, September 16th, a private boat collided with the east jetty at Perdido Pass in Orange Beach, prompting a swift response from Orange Beach Fire Rescue. Emergency crews were dispatched at 5:48am following reports of the accident.

Several units from Orange Beach Fire Rescue responded to the scene, including Battalion 1, Engine 1, Rescue 1, Beach 11, and Fire Boat 2. Upon arrival, Fire Boat 2 found the boat on the rocks with five people on board. Despite the impact, only one minor injury was reported.

Fire Boat 2 successfully removed all occupants from the boat and transported them to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) office. The injured individual was transferred to Rescue 1 and taken to the South Baldwin Freestanding Emergency Room for further evaluation.

The accident scene was left in the care of Orange Beach Police marine units. Authorities have not released further details about the cause of the incident.
