gulf shores concert news

The City of Gulf Shores has announced their 2024 lineup for the Summer Music at Meyer Park concert series. These free concerts will kick off at 5:30 p.m. and are set to be held at Meyer Park, located at 400 E 22nd Ave. The series will feature a diverse range of musical talents, including Gulf Coast favorite Rhonda Hart, local artist Cameron DuBois with Bama Sound, and the Americana trio The Krickets.

The lineup for our 2024 Music at Meyer Park concert series consists of the following bands:

  • June 21 – Make Music Day at Meyer Park
The City of Gulf Shores Special Events Team is partnering with the Frank Brown Songwriters and the Flora-Bama to present Make Music at Meyer Park. Join us at Meyer Park for an incredible musical performance featuring Gulf Coast favorite and Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Rhonda Hart. Hart has assembled a group of awesome musicians, forming a band that will have you up and dancing and singing along to lots of hit songs. In addition, a number of other local musicians are expected to drop in to play a tune or two. The fun will take place at Meyer Park ( 400 E 22nd Ave).

  • July 18 – Cameron DuBois & Bama Sound
Cameron DuBois has been performing professionally since graduating from Auburn University in 2017. She began writing and recording in Muscle Shoals and Nashville in 2018 and released her first single, “The Home Place”, that same year. Cameron has had the honor of opening for Luke Combs, Dylan Scott, John Michael Montgomery, Thompson Square, Neal McCoy, Easton Corbin and most recently for Artimus Pyle of Lynyrd Skynyrd fame. In September, she will be opening for The Kentucky Headhunters in Hokes Bluff Alabama. Currently, Cameron is working on a project of original music with Teddy Gentry, founding member of the iconic country band, ALABAMA. She also performs locally with Bama Sound, based out of Montgomery, Alabama.

  • August 15 – The Krickets
The Krickets are an Americana trio from the Gulf Coast whose music is what Paste Magazine calls "a truly stunning, one-of-a-kind sound." Two-time IMA Song of the Year winner in both Folk and Alt Country categories, the band's music is genre-bending Americana steeped in their signature folk harmony.

Music at Meyer Park concerts are rain or shine events. In the event of rain, the back-up location will be Big Beach Brewery. Food trucks will be set up at each event for those wishing to purchase food, and the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber will be onsite selling beverages for all ages to enjoy!
