Alabama has surprising leader in polls for Senate

Jared Hudson Leads Polls For Next Alabama Senator

Alabamians have voted for the non-politician types in recent elections and the trend is moving in direction for the next senate race. Past Navy Seal, Jared Hudson, is leading in recent polls over established politicians.

Hudson entered the senatorial race against Steve Marshall, Barry Moore, Morgan Murphy and Rodney Walker.  In recent polling Jared Hudson is outpacing the other candidates wishing to be the next Senator of Alabama.

Quantus Insights, an election polling and forecasting service, recently published a statewide poll of the Alabama Senate candidates and Jared Hudson was beating out current Attorney General Steve Marshall. The poll was only focused on the Republican Primary candidates.

Jared Hudson has stated "In a time when the radical left is working to dismantle our values, weaken our borders, and erode faith in America’s greatness, we need bold, proven leaders who don’t just talk the talk. They take action.

Hudson's closest opponent is Steve Marshall, an Alabama lawyer serving as the 48th attorney general of Alabama. He was appointed in February 2017 by Governor Robert Bentley to fill the vacancy created by previous attorney general Luther Strange's appointment to the United States Senate.

The sudden swing to lead the Senate candidates was surprising since Hudson ranks 3rd in fund raising. In recent Federal Election Commission disclosures, Barry Moore has the most campaign contributions.

In that same Quantus polling, a majority of the Alabamians polled stated that having national security experience would prepare someone to effectively serve in the U.S. Senate.
