Tacky Jacks Sunny 105.7 Fun Run

Gulf Shores is getting ready to mix laughter, community spirit, and a little friendly competition in one of the most entertaining charity events of the year. Sunny 105 will host the first-ever .7K Crawl-Walk-Run, with Tacky Jack's featuring the Dunk-A-Local Celebrity fundraiser on Saturday, November 15, blending humor and heart to raise money for the Christian Service Center Food Pantry

Unlike traditional races, this event skips the long miles and focuses on the fun. The .7K silliness begins at 2 p.m. at The Sloop and continues along East 24th Avenue, wrapping up around 4 p.m. at Big Beach Brewing. The event celebrates community camaraderie while supporting families who depend on the Christian Service Center for meals and assistance, especially during the holiday season.

Adding an extra splash of excitement, Tacky Jacks Gulf Shores will feature a lively Dunk-A-Local Celebrity booth from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a lineup of local favorites ready to take the plunge for charity. For a $5 donation, attendees will get three chances to dunk one of several well-known community figures, including Gulf Shores Police Chief Dan Netemeyer, Gulf Shores City Council member Steve Jones, artist and entertainer Cappy the Clown, Maegan Bratton of Cowbell Rolled Ice Cream, radio personality Lisa Christian of Sunny 105.7, and Eric Bradley of Navy Cove Oysters. Each volunteer is stepping up to help raise money and awareness for the Christian Service Center Food Pantry, proving that getting soaked can make a big difference for local families.

Tacky Jacks and other sponsors will donate a portion of the day’s sales to the Christian Service Center. Visitors can also enjoy games, appearances from Miss Marlin, and the Alabama vs. Oklahoma football game.

This community celebration is made possible by a group of generous local sponsors, including
