Fun party for locals at Orange Beach Event Center

Orange Beach Events

A fun event that benefits local causes and is known for a great time? Orange Beach is preparing to turn game shows into a community fundraiser in October. Krewe de Sol, a local nonprofit 501(c) (7) are teaming up with Maidens in Pink Stilettos and civic groups to stage a live event that brings costumes, prizes, and audience interaction to the stage. The organizers say the setup will mirror the fun of television classics while giving attendees a chance to support a local cause. The production blends entertainment with charity in a format meant to draw both residents and visitors.

The event takes place Friday, October 3rd, at the Orange Beach Event Center at The Wharf. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the game show beginning at 7 p.m. Admission costs $50, and the event is restricted to ages 21 and up. Attendees must be present to win prizes during the show.

Krewe de Sol and the Maidens in Pink Stilettos are listed as presenting groups, while the host role belongs to longtime local entertainer Big Earl. Promotional material and social media posts have encouraged would-be contestants to arrive in costume and bring the same energy seen on iconic TV shows. Krewe officials have described the production as an extension of their mission of community support.

Organizers say the game action will resemble well-known formats, including elements drawn from
Let’s Make a Deal and Spin the Wheel. Costumes are strongly encouraged, giving players a better chance to be called on stage. A cash bar and silent auction are also planned, with prizes and possible cash rewards available throughout the night.

Tickets are available through
TicketLeap as well as directly from group members. Organizers say this method should help keep the event accessible to both island residents and seasonal visitors.

Sea Glass Initiative Inc., a nonprofit based in Foley, is connected to the event with part of the proceeds expected to benefit its work. The program focuses on housing stability and case management, and it has expanded its efforts across Baldwin County recently. Officials have promoted volunteer opportunities and partnerships as they continue building support throughout the region.

While specific fundraising totals or prize values have not been released, organizers say the concept is simple. Audience members can expect quick games, steady pacing, and a chance to step under the lights as part of the show. Comfortable shoes might be as useful as a costume since contestants can be called up at any time.

Some of our larger prizes are Electric Bike, Weekend stay in New Orleans along with the New Orleans Saints tickets, Multiple Beachfront stays, and many more fabulous prizes and of course just like the game show there will be "Zonkers."
