Gulf Shores Bridge Will Be One Lane At Night Next Week

South bound of Hwy 59 bridge will be one lane at night

The City of Gulf Shores issued a press release today concerning traffic on the Hwy. 59 bridge ( W.C. Holmes Bridge). After recent accidents on Hwy. 59, we urge residents to travel slowly when using the bridge next week and be aware of construction crews.


The City of Gulf Shores would like to inform residents and guests that starting Monday, July 22, through Wednesday, July 24, there will be a temporary lane closure of the right, southbound lane on the W.C. Holmes (Hwy. 59) Bridge to perform guardrail modifications and maintenance. The closure will occur only while work is being conducted from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Details of the Lane Closure:
- Location: Right, southbound lane of the W.C. Holmes (Hwy. 59) Bridge
- Dates: Monday through Wednesday
- Time: Lane closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Please plan your travel accordingly and use caution when driving in the area during these times.
