Fins lose a close battle with St. Paul's

Gulf Shores Sports News

Local high school football enjoyed dry weather Friday and the passes flew. Unfortunately it was the Saint Paul Saints who came out on top of the Gulf Shores Dolphins. After a 4th quarter score the Saints won 27-23. Gulf Shores will play at home next week against the Spanish Fort Toros.

The Orange Beach Makos took the team on the road to Escambia County to face the Blue Devils. After a scoreless first quarter the Makos put 29 points on the board to defeat Escambia. The final score was (29-22).

The Makos next game will be at Jackson High on the 9th of October. The Jackson Aggies currently have a 5-2 overall record.

Local high school football games are being broadcast on Sunny 105.7 radio. You can listen live on the radio and computer.

After each local high school football game, Tacky Jacks in Gulf Shores is staying open late! When asked why the management said "Because victory (and even tough losses) taste better with nachos, burgers, and something cold at the beach’s Tackiest hangout!"
