Guld Shores State Park News

Don't want to set up the tent or roll out the sleeping bags for a camping excursion? The Gulf State Park has a new service to set-up your "Glamping" trip. Timberline Glamping announces its newest location for its unique, one-of-a-kind

glamping getaways. They are partnering with the City of Orange Beach and Alabama State Parks at Young’s Hideaway, to bring Glamping sites that offer the ultimate convenience with trail access on one side, and beach access just across the street.

The spacious Safari Tents will come equipped with en-suite bathrooms right inside the tent, ensuring comfort and convenience for every guest.

"We've created another perfect space for you to daydream, relax and enjoy the natural world around us," said co-founder Rebeka Self. "My husband and I had the vision to make camping with families easier and now it's blossomed into a business with twenty two locations. Our expansion to the Alabama Coast makes even more glamping dreams possible for the upcoming travel season when folks can comfortably get out there and thrive in our beautiful locations."

In addition to Alabama, Timberline Glamping offers glamping destinations in Georgia, Florida, and Virginia. Participants experience the beauty of being outdoors, enjoy nature trails and lake activities and relax in either a safari tent, cozy bell tent or retro RV. Modern home decor is provided, including a hotel-quality bed with clean sheets and a comforter, air conditioning/heater, a mini-fridge and coffee maker and electrical outlets to charge devices. Glampsites have hammocks, fire pits, charcoal grills with cooking grates, string lights, camp chairs and picnic tables.

Timberline Glamping believes luxury and comfort should not be sacrificed when spending time outside. This family-owned venture is inspired by parents ready to enjoy camping adventures with resort-like amenities.

“Our unique glamping experiences are a treasure for memory-making and fun exploring for all ages,” added Self. “From our stylized retro RVs to the magical canvas safari and bell tents, the options are plenty to find the right experience for your group. It makes the perfect family trip!”

Tracking fish with sonar has been available to the public since 1948, when the famous Furuno brothers introduced the product in their native Japan. A 'salty' charter captain might add that it was Lowrance that brought it to the U.S. fishing market. But whomever you credit, NOAA has now combined it with artificial intelligence (AI) to provide better chart mapping and even fish count locations of fish in the gulf. The results could impact local fishing seasons in the future.
