July 4th Firework Shows in Gulf Shores

Gulf Shores, Ala. — (GSN) — Celebrating Independence Day along the Alabama Gulf Coast in 2026 is set to be a historic occasion as communities commemorate America’s Semiquincentennial—the 250th anniversary of the United States. From fireworks over the Gulf to family festivals, there is a variety of ways to celebrate.


Here are the top ways to experience the 4th of July weekend in the Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Foley area:


Gulf Shores Annual Independence Day Fireworks

The city’s signature event takes place on Saturday, July 4. Fireworks will be launched from the Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier at 9:00 p.m. Spectators are encouraged to gather at the eastern area of Gulf Shores Public Beach or at Gulf State Park for the best views.


OWA Star Spangled 250th Spectacular (Foley)

For a full day of family-friendly entertainment, head to OWA in Foley on Saturday, July 4. The event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and features live entertainment, a 250th Independence Day Parade through Downtown OWA at 4:00 p.m., and activities like hat decorating and waterslides. The evening concludes with a fireworks finale at 8:50 p.m..


The Wharf’s 250th Spectacular (Orange Beach)

Get the holiday weekend started early on Thursday, July 2, at The Wharf. This massive dual celebration with the City of Orange Beach features a street party starting at 5:30 p.m., followed by a fireworks display at 9:00 p.m., a drone show at 9:15 p.m., and the signature SPECTRA Laser Light Experience.


Flora-Bama Freedom Run & Fireworks

On July 4, start your morning at the state line with the 6th Annual Freedom Run, featuring 4-mile and 1-mile courses. The festivities continue all day with live music, barbecue, and a beach atmosphere, capped off by a beachfront fireworks display at 9:00 p.m..


Stars & Stripes Celebration at Gulf State Park

This two-day festival on July 3 and July 4 offers an outdoor cultural experience. Attendees can browse a local art market, enjoy a curated lineup of food trucks, and listen to live music. It’s an excellent way to soak in the holiday spirit leading up to the main fireworks on the 4th.


Red, White & Run 5K (Fort Morgan)

Kick off the weekend on Thursday, July 2, at 7:00 a.m. with the inaugural Red, White & Run 5K hosted by the Fort Morgan Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. It offers a scenic run along the peninsula while supporting local volunteer firefighters.


The Beach Club Resort Fireworks (Fort Morgan)

The Beach Club Resort & Spa in Fort Morgan hosts a popular beachfront fireworks display every July 4th at 9 p.m., which serves as a centerpiece of their holiday celebrations.


Turquoise Place Fireworks (Orange Beach)

Turquoise Place in Orange Beach hosts its annual J4 Celebration, which features a spectacular beach fireworks show at 9 p.m. on July 4th. Guests staying at the resort can enjoy the display directly from their balconies, while the public can find an excellent vantage point at the nearby Cotton Bayou Beach Access.


Perdido Beach Resort Fireworks (Orange Beach)

Perdido Beach Resort in hosts an annual Independence Day Celebration featuring live music, family-friendly activities, and an all-American barbecue. On July 4th, the festivities conclude with a spectacular fireworks show at 9 p.m. that lights up the Gulf Coast sky.
