Stickers Valid for the Next Three Hurricane Seasons

Gulf Shores Area Hurricane News

Orange Beach residents can soon pick up hurricane re-entry decals for the upcoming storm season. These decals help people return home after evacuations during hurricanes. The decals will cover three hurricane seasons, from 2025 through 2027. Residents should not attach the decals to their windshields until required for re-entry.

Decals will be available starting Tuesday, May 27, at the Finance Department, located behind City Hall at 4099 Orange Beach Blvd. Hurricane season officially starts on Sunday, June 1.

Two decals per property will be provided. Residents in condos or townhomes will get their decals through their homeowners’ associations. Single-family homeowners can collect their decals directly from the Finance Department weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Residents living in condos must contact their homeowners' association directly to receive decals. Associations will handle the distribution process, so residents should check with their management for details and pickup instructions.

Rental property owners and renters each receive one decal. Renters must present a current lease to obtain their sticker. All residents must show proof of residency and a current city utility account to get decals.

Decal colors differ based on location. Properties in the beach overlay district receive blue decals with white letters. Properties north of this district will receive white decals with orange letters.

Distribution stops immediately if a Tropical Storm Warning or Hurricane Warning is issued for the area. Residents with questions can contact the Orange Beach Finance Department at 251-981-6096 or visit the city's
Hurricane Decals webpage.
