Orange Beach Man Given Bond After Deadly Crash Last Week

The Orange Beach man faces manslaughter charges

On Friday May 9, Wyatt Watson from Orange Beach was involved in a vehicular accident which took the life of a 55 year old man from Lillian. The accident occurred around 1:30 AM on Lillian Highway. Watson was charged with  DUI manslaughter following a fatal wreck.



A judge set Watson’s bond on Tuesday at $100,000, but it comes with stipulations. 


Watson's bond requirements include no driving, no alcohol or drugs. Watson is not allowed to visit bars or other establishments where alcohol is the primary source of business, and he must wear a Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor, which monitors alcohol consumption.


The legal proceeding are taking place in Escambia County, Florida, the jurisdiction where the accident took place.


Watson is scheduled to return to court May 30.


The 55 year old victim from Lillian was identified as Shannon Price.

Orange Beach is launching a new youth football league this fall to help young players grow their skills and love for the game. Supported by the City of Orange Beach and Mayor Tony Kennon, the league offers full-contact football for ages 10 to 13 and a developmental program for kids ages 8 and 9.
