Allegiant Airlines announced it will begin offering the first-ever commercial air service from Gulf Shores International Airport (GUF). Vehicle Plunges into Water in Fatal Gulf Shores Crash


Unfortunately accidents sometimes make the top stories list. Especially when the occur near a famous landmark. A tragic traffic incident claimed the life of a driver in Gulf Shores early in the morning. The accident occurred around 1:24 AM near Tacky Jacks, at the intersection of East Canal Drive and East Second Street. Authorities reported that the vehicle was heading west on East Canal Drive when it breached the guard rail and plunged into the water below.

The average life span of most sea turtles is 50 to 100 years and they often return to their place of birth to deposit eggs for the next generation.

A 'salty' charter captain might add that it was Lowrance that brought it to the U.S. fishing market. But whomever you credit, NOAA has now combined it with artificial intelligence (AI) to provide better chart mapping and even fish count locations of fish in the gulf. The results could impact local fishing seasons in the future.
