Oktoberfest in Gulf Shores

Perdido Key, Fla. — (GSN) — If you find yourself worn out from walking under the autumn sun at the Annual National Shrimp Festival in Gulf Shores, take a quick trip over to the famous Flora-Bama Lounge for the ultimate fall beach celebration. This Sunday, October 11, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the legendary beach bar is bringing a taste of Bavaria to the coast with its annual Oktoberfest.

Step out of the festival crowds and head inside the Flora-Bama Tent Stage to relax with a cold drink. Guests ages 21 and over receive a complimentary drink coupon upon entry, as well as a 25% discount coupon for the Flora-Bama gift shop.

Feeling competitive? Test your strength in the Samuel Adams Stein Hoisting Competition. Registration opens at 2:00 PM for the first 8 female and 16 male contestants, with the competition starting at 3:00 PM. Every participant receives a free souvenir stein courtesy of Samuel Adams.

Grab a Brat and Enjoy the Music. Bring your appetite for 4:00 PM, when the complimentary German buffet opens (available while supplies last). Fill your plate with delicious beer brats, sauerkraut, and warm German potato salad.

As you eat, dance and sing along as the New Orleans-based polka band, The Brats, takes the stage at 4:00 PM to keep the crowd laughing and dancing all afternoon.

Don't hesitate to dress up for the party! Guests are encouraged to break out their finest lederhosen, dirndls, suspenders, and alpine hats. Silent judging takes place throughout the afternoon, with $50 Flora-Bama gift certificates awarded for the best lederhosen and best dirndl.
