Across the state, Sweet Grown Alabama farmers are opening their gates, inviting families, friends and berry lovers of all ages to experience fresh, local blueberries straight from the bush.

Baldwin County has many farms that allow visitors for picking during the short blueberry season. groups and families are always encouraged to call ahead to confirm a reserved time. Here are a couple of outlets that participate in the public picking season.

Gardner's Berry Farm is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. now through early July. Fresh, delicious berries are available for $20 per gallon, with buckets and bags provided for your convenience. They accept cash or check each day, and card payments when available.

Quail Creek Blueberry & Flower Farm is open for U-pick blueberries June 1 to July 1. You can find several varieties of Rabbiteye Blueberries to snack on and fill your bucket! Price varies.
