What is your favorite NFL team to cheer for?

Residents of coastal Alabama are rabid fans for their SEC football teams. Many will attend a college football game or two during the season and it is a sin to schedule a wedding or birthday party while two powerhouse southern teams are playing each other.

But what about Sundays, after Church of course? What is your favorite NFL football team? Do you even watch on Sundays or just replay the recording of your college team's game from the day before?

Since so many of the area residents have moved to the beach from another location, many still cheer for their NFL team. Some even have local groups who meet at a sports bar on Sunday, Monday or Thursday to plant their NFL flag deep in SEC territory.

Young anglers along the Alabama Gulf Coast will have the chance to showcase their fishing skills this fall at The Wharf in Orange Beach. The Kids Win Fishing Tournament, presented by Rouses Markets, is open to children ages 3 to 10.

Gulf Shores Pedestrian Bridge Towers Topped

The City of Gulf Shores provided an update on the progress of a $24 million pedestrian bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW). The Waterway Village Pedestrian Bridge will include two towers, one on each side of the ICW, and a separate plaza project will enhance the areas surrounding the towers.

City of Foley Opens New Public Works Campus
