Residents of coastal Alabama are rabid fans for their SEC football teams. Many will attend a college football game or two during the season and it is a sin to schedule a wedding or birthday party while two powerhouse southern teams are playing each other.


But what about Sundays, after Church of course? What is your favorite NFL football team? Do you even watch on Sundays or just replay the recording of your college team's game from the day before?

Since so many of the area residents have moved to the beach from another location, many still cheer for their NFL team. Some even have local groups who meet at a sports bar on Sunday, Monday or Thursday to plant their NFL flag deep in SEC territory.

While snow is currently not in the Alabama coastal forecast, frigid and freezing temperatures are expected to start Friday evening. The National Weather Service in Mobile has declared an "Extreme Cold Watch" and does not forecast a low temp above 32° until Monday.
