Dolphins dominate Murphy in 45-0 win

Thursday night the Gulf Shores Dolphins ended their home game schedule in dominant style with a crushing win over the Murphy Panthers. Major Hudspeth threw for 290 yards and six touchdowns during the route of Murphy with a final score of 45-0.


Hudspeth was generous with the passes, throwing the six touchdowns to 4 different receivers. The Dolphins also pounded our 86 yards in rushing 5 carriers.


Special teams chipped in with a 63 yard punt return from Elijah Malone. The kicker, Taylor Barkley, was perfect with his 6 PATs and one field goal.


The Dolphin defense operated as a wall during the shut-out. A total of 14 different players had tackles and 5 sacks were recorded.


After winning 3 of their last 4 games the Gulf Shores Dolphins will now travel to Russell County to take on the Warriors. The game is scheduled for November 7 and the Warriors currently have a 8-1 record.


The Gulf Shores Dolphins now have a 5-5 overall record with the each each occurring at home. After starting the season with three loses, the Fins have turned the ship around and navigated to a winning course.
