Foley PD Investigate Copper Theft At Hospital Construction Site

$45,000 Worth of Copper Stolen at Regional Medical Center in Foley

Foley Police Department is investigating a theft at a construction site near South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. Contractors reported that $45,000 worth of copper wire and pipes were stolen between 5 p.m. on June 10 and 6 a.m. on June 11.


Officers and detectives responded to the scene on N. Alston Street. The stolen items included 120 spools of various gauge copper wire and 30 copper pipes of different sizes. The theft is currently under investigation.


The Foley Police Department is asking for help from the public. Anyone with information about this theft is urged to contact the Foley Police Department at 251-943-4431.


Copper thefts have been on the rise nationwide, impacting various cities and causing significant losses. In similar cases, thieves target construction sites and utility areas to steal valuable copper materials.
