Gulf Shores Middle School is starting a new chapter as Jamie Hill steps into the role of principal. The official appointment was announced on July 14, 2025. Hill comes to Gulf Shores with over twenty years of experience in educational leadership. Before this new role, he served as principal at Discovery Middle School in Madison City Schools. He also led Columbia Elementary and held administrative positions at Bob Jones High School.

Throughout his career, Hill has focused on instruction, school safety, community involvement, and staff development. Under his leadership, schools have consistently ranked among the best in Alabama. His efforts were recognized recently when he was named the CLAS District 8 Middle School Principal of the Year.

Hill shared his excitement about joining Gulf Shores Middle School. He praised the strong foundation of success and innovation already in place.
