Local Chamber brings community together for success

Coastal Alabama Business Chamber

When you think of the area's biggest annual event, National Shrimp Festival, that is our local Chamber at work. When we think of ribbon cutting and business information that is our Chamber at work. When we think of new events like the lighted boat parade or the tailgate challenge, that again is the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber at work and representing the coastal region. They are able to work across city lines and bring everyone together for a greater cause.

The local Chamber has been representing local business for decades and is the backbone behind many of the area events. Representing hundreds of companies, they are able to bring those resources together and make events or business strategy flow, enhancing the local business climate.

Greg Alexander, President & CEO of the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber, stated "This is only possible because of our selfless volunteers and community leaders that add so much value to these programs. As we turn the page in 2026, we will continue to support our business community with thoughtful and meaningful programming."

From job training and placement to event structure and community messaging, the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber constantly working to strengthen the local business environment. But this does not happen without the cooperation of local residents.

We often hear people ask "how long do I have to live here to be considered a local?" The immediate reply should be " So what have you volunteered for with the Chamber?"

As we more into the new year the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber would like to see local residents help support the events by volunteering for an event shift or providing assistance at a ribbon cutting. There are so many ways to give back to this beautiful community.

Simply email them at info@mygulfcoastchamber.com  or visit the website to get enrolled for newsletter updates. Helping our Chamber is helping the entire area!
